What is Securities Lending?

Securities Lending* allows the owner of a security to earn income by lending that security to a carefully screened, pre-approved borrower under the terms of a pre-arranged contract. Loans are collateralized at 102% of market value, plus accrued interest, for the duration of the loan.

Securities lending is designed for corporations, public sector entities, Taft-Hartley funds, healthcare and charitable institutions with a minimum of $100 million in lendable securities

The securities lending program is designed to closely monitor and manage all aspects of the lending process. The lender has the opportunity to review all pre-approved borrowers and tailor the investment guidelines to meet specific requirements.
